Università degli studi dell'Insubria
I am an Italian theoretical physicist working at the interface of mathematical physics, algebraic geometry and quantum field theory. I obtained my PhD in Physics and Astrophysics in 2026 at the Università degli Studi dell'Insubria (Como, Italy), under the supervision of Prof. Sergio Luigi Cacciatori, defending the thesis Exponential Periods for Integrals in Physics. I am currently seeking postdoctoral opportunities.
My research focuses on the mathematical structure of scattering amplitudes and Feynman integrals. I use tools from twisted (co)homology, intersection theory, D-modules and Hodge theory to understand how many independent (master) integrals a problem has, how they are related, and how they behave under analytic continuation — where wall-crossing and Stokes phenomena play a central role. I like combining these abstract ideas with symbolic computation (Mathematica, Macaulay2) to turn them into concrete methods for evaluating Feynman integrals and string amplitudes.
I was born and raised in Cagliari, Sardinia, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Physics (110/110 cum laude) with a thesis on general covariance and spin-two fields, awarded the “Franco Meloni” prize. I then moved to Padova for my Master's degree in Theoretical Physics, where, under the supervision of Prof. Pierpaolo Mastrolia, I first approached the mathematical structure of scattering amplitudes through intersection theory, applying it to tree-level string amplitudes (Master thesis).
During my PhD in Como I extended this program to exponential periods, which led to the paper Wall crossing structure from quantum phenomena to Feynman integrals (JHEP 01 (2026) 050) with R. Angius and S. L. Cacciatori. I have been a visiting researcher at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHES, Bures-sur-Yvette, January–February 2026) and at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Padova (May–July 2026), and I co-organized the online workshop Loops & Geometry: Hidden Structures in Multi-loop Amplitudes (MITP Youngst@rs, 2026).
Teaching has always been an important part of my work: I have been a university tutor in Padova and Como, a high-school teacher of Mathematics and Physics, and a contract lecturer for a higher technical institute (ITS).
